Greetings Belmont Theatre Fans!
Just a quick note to let you know about the parent run organization dedicated to supporting theatre and the performing arts at Belmont High School. It's known as Patrons (formerly PARTS), and it stands (loosely!) for Patrons of Belmont High School Performing Arts.
Joining Patrons/PARTS is a great way to support theater in the Belmont Public Schools. Our programs bring together students from every grade and academic background to share the experience of building great theatrical productions. Support from Patrons allows these programs to not only to survive, but to thrive, even in these tricky budgetary times. We count on all parents of students participating in the Performing Arts Company to join.
So...what comes next? First, fill out a membership form and be counted as a genuine Patrons member! Second, make sure we have your email address, since electronic communication cuts down on paper (making us a greener organization), and saves postage (allowing us to funnel more money into our programs).
Next, volunteer for a task during our upcoming productions. This can be anything from selling tickets, to helping with publicity, manning the concession stand for a performance, helping with costumes....the choices are varied and numerous! Not only does this kind of support help the productions run smoothly, but also gives parents the opportunity to find out first-hand how the shows are put together, and lets us get to know our performing arts students a little better.
